OAKS DADS' CLUB "ODC"

A Long Term Commitment to Youth Sports Continues

ODC has provided youth sports in the Houston area since 1954 through our main park located at 3410 E. TC Jester situated in the heart of Oak Forest. We will be celebrating our 65th Anniversary in April 2019. In 2018 we had  1,000 players between the ages of 4 and 16 years old participate in Baseball, Softball, and Soccer. In 2017, we acquired Candlelight Fields at 6500 Rena Street. The addition of these fields will ensure the continued growth of our youth sports programs for years to come and will allow our membership to grow. Currently, we host our soccer program and baseball practice fields for our older players at Candlelight Fields.

ODC is more than just youth sports, it’s about family and dedication to the community. In fact, many of the parents and grandparents of current players at ODC were players here themselves! Our motto, “As the twig is bent, so grows the tree,” is a reflection of our commitment to the growth and development of our youth.

ODC Rainout Policy - 2019 (Baseball and Softball)

ODC advises coaches and/or team moms in the event of a rain out or other changes to scheduled games.  We will attempt to advise parents via email or text if there is a change in the schedule due to weather; however, our primary contact will be coaches, team moms, and the ODC Facebook page.  Parents should assume all games will be played as scheduled unless notified otherwise.  Please remember that even if it has rained or is raining at your house that does not mean it has rained or is raining at ODC.  Due to the number of games that are scheduled to play, we will make every effort to play games as scheduled.  Decisions regarding games may not be made until very close to game time. We will no longer be using the rain out phone line effective Fall 2018, but will now post all weather updates to our Facebook page (see link below) in addition to sharing with coaches.  New this season, you can also opt in to receive text messages and reminders for the season from ODC by texting  @odc1954 to the number 81010 or instantly via the link below.
